Huanglong Island is located in Shengsi, Zhoushan, Zhejiang. Shengsi Main Island is about one hour from Shanghai, while Huanglong Island is only a 15-minute trip from Shengsi Main Island. With its winding mountain ridges, the island resembles a yellow dragon coiling between sea and sky when viewed from afar, hence its name. The open sea and horizon constantly change with weather and wind direction, creating ever-shifting visual “chemical reactions.”
The island features lighthouses, reefs, fishing harbors, stone houses, wooden boats, and freely living island residents—fulfilling every island dream you can imagine. Inspired by Huanglong Island’s iconic weathered rocks, the property is built with rough stone materials and divided into two architectural clusters, each oriented toward a different direction to maximize views. Native island reefs are preserved within the property, becoming its most striking natural décor and recreating the beauty of rock-and-sea coexistence within the village.
